Get It Recruit - Educational Services is Hiring a Remote Adult Literacy Admin Assistant - Remote | WFH

OverviewWe empower immigrant and working-class communities to achieve dignity and justice through organizing, policy innovation, transformative education, and survival services. With community centers across New York City and Long Island, membership of 27,000 addresses critical issues including workplace justice, tenants' rights, immigrant and civil rights, justice, public education, health care access, and immigration reform. We are newly unionized and currently negotiating its first Collective Bargaining Agreement.
ResponsibilitiesReach out to students on program waiting lists to inform them about classes and schedule intake testing appointments.
Conduct Best Plus pre and post-tests onsite.
Complete intake paperwork and enter student data into databases.
Assist with local area street outreach efforts as required.
Handle administrative tasks such as form filling, managing phone calls, photocopying, faxing, scanning, printing, filing, and other program support duties.
Support program quality reviews, preparation for funder site visits, and activities for admin and Adult Education team meetings.
Collaborate with team members including admin staff, volunteers, interns, case managers, and teachers on administrative projects.
Assist in training initiatives, projects, and presentations both remotely and in person.
Attend program trainings and meetings as necessary.
Maintain communication departments including HR and IT/tech support.
Contribute to program development through ongoing reflection and process improvement.
RequirementsEligible to work in the US.
Fully vaccinated with an FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine before starting employment.
High School Diploma from the US or equivalent.
Associate's degree preferred, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
Strong tech skills including GSuite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Box, Zoom, and Google Voice.
Comfortable and proficient in data entry.
Best Plus trained within the last year is a plus.
Preferred: Experience in immigrant services or community-based social justice organizations, collaborative project development, and educational programming or human services delivery.

Salary And BenefitsSalary range: $20.64 to $23.74 per hour.
