Position: Site Coordinator
About The RoleJoin our team as a Site Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our after school program. This multifaceted position involves supervising instructors, ensuring efficient program logistics, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for our students. You will be responsible for daily on-site supervision of diverse enrichment classes, along with consistent communication with instructors, parents, school administration, and upper management. Additionally, the role includes coordinating after school supplies and classroom spaces to support program effectiveness.
About UsWe are a leading youth sports and education program dedicated to delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a love of learning and activity among youth. We are expanding as the after school provider in the NY-metro area and are currently seeking a dynamic, responsible multitasker to join our team.
Work Schedule / Location:
Monday-Friday
9am-1pm work from home
2-6pm work onsite at PS 166 - The Richard Rodgers School of The Arts and Technology (132 W 89th Street, Manhattan, NY)
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, organized, positive environment
Build and manage class schedules
Delegate responsibilities related to transition and dismissal times
Coordinate logistics with school staff and address any concerns
Conduct daily walk-throughs of classroom spaces post-activity
Staff SupervisionProvide ongoing support and professional development for instructors
Lead quarterly trainings and annual Kick-Off Meetings
Conduct regular performance evaluations and update instructor logs
Implement improvement plans as needed
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment
Recess ManagementImplement a structured and engaging recess program in collaboration with school staff
Supervise recess staff to ensure student safety and well-being
Administrative TasksManage daily staffing assignments
Maintain accurate records of program attendance and instructor schedules
Assist in promoting and investigating incident reports; follow up with Director and HR where required
Maintain open communication with parents regarding program activities, updates, and requests
Adhere to program budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability
QualificationsBachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field
Previous experience in program management, preferably in an educational setting
Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of child development, pedagogy, and educational best practices
CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse, and other related certifications required
Preferably based in NYC
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
