Get It Recruit - Educational Services is Hiring a Remote Afterschool Lead or Assistant Coach - Remote | WFH

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Instructors to join our after-school program at three locations in Queens. Our program serves students from kindergarten through 10th grade, with the goal of providing academic and social support to help them succeed in their secondary and collegiate education.
About The ProgramOur holistic program includes homework assistance, art, dance, cooking, STEM activities, fitness, leadership development, goal-setting, and college exploration. Funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), the program benefits from a strong partnership with the host schools.
Position DetailsHours: Monday - Tuesday, Thursday - Friday from 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM, and Wednesday from 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Bi-weekly meetings and professional development sessions may occur outside these hours.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead instruction alongside team members.
Foster social-emotional skills to empower students.
Provide daily leadership for a class of 10-15 students, maintaining student engagement whether instruction is remote or in-person. Represent our program positively within the school environment.
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that align with program goals, including college exploration, STEM, and social-emotional learning. Collaborate with the team to enhance students' awareness of high school and college opportunities.
Adhere to protocols for remote and instruction, ensuring a safe environment. Clean student materials at the start and end of each shift.
Serve as a role model by adhering to policies on attendance, punctuality, dress code, and respectful interactions with students, colleagues, parents, and school staff.
Communicate with parents about any concerns and provide excellent customer service in person, by phone, or via email.
Adapt flexibly to changes and unexpected situations.
QualificationsCurrently pursuing or holding a BA degree.
At least one year of experience working with school-age children in a professional setting.
Commitment to the program through the end of June is required.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.
Skills And AttributesKnowledge of best practices for working with children in an extracurricular setting.
Strong communication skills for both one-on-one and group interactions.
Ability to take personal accountability for program outcomes and proactively address challenges.
