EducationPosition Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education
ExperienceMinimum 1 year of experience working with 504 plans
Other RequirementsMust possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Preferred RequirementsMaster's degree in education
Possesses a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
2 or more years of experience working with or coordinating 504 plans
Essential Job TasksEnsure compliance with 504 regulations as per ADA guidelines
Implement policies, procedures, and practices for the 504 process
Assist in training and professional development related to 504 procedures
Schedule and facilitate all 504 meetings
Develop 504 plans for eligible students
Monitor the implementation of 504 plans
Provide continuous support and communication to parents throughout the 504 process
Support teachers in ensuring adherence to 504 plans
Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA guidelines
Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and effective communication skills
Possess theoretical knowledge of human behavior and learning principles
Perform additional duties as assigned
Working ConditionsThis position requires a variety of physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting. Additionally, proficiency in operating office equipment and technology is essential for successful performance in this role.
