About The RoleWe are seeking a Director of Community Learning & Development to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of Community Engagement, this role is pivotal in shaping the future of yoga instruction and supporting the professional growth of the yoga community.
The Director of Community Learning & Development will lead the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of our learning and development programs. You will ensure that credentialing processes are rigorous and that ongoing education opportunities are both comprehensive and relevant. Your work will contribute directly to the overall quality and credibility of the yoga profession.
In this role, you will lead, coach, and grow a team of six.
What You Will DoTeam Leadership: Recruit, coach, and develop a team of managers and staff; provide clear and constructive feedback; conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to achieve organizational goals.
Program Development And ManagementDesign and develop programs that prepare yoga teachers and trainers for certification and recertification.
Create training modules, continuing education courses, and specialized workshops to support ongoing professional development.
Provide opportunities for the community to enhance their skills and knowledge through workshops, seminars, and retreats focused on advanced topics and emerging trends in yoga.
Standards Compliance and Governance: Ensure that credentialing programs align with industry standards and best practices. Stay updated on governance regulations to maintain high standards in training and credentialing processes.
Certification ManagementOversee the certification and recertification process for yoga teachers and trainers, ensuring all criteria are met.
Develop and maintain certification requirements and assessment tools.
Integrate feedback from subject matter experts and industry trends into curriculum improvements.
Educational Resource Creation: Develop educational materials such as manuals, online courses, and instructional videos. Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences.
Community Building: Promote credentialing and professional development programs within the yoga community. Foster a sense of support and connection through networking events, listening tours, forums, and other engagement activities.
Leadership and Management: Lead a team of managers and administrative staff. Provide guidance and support to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Research and Innovation: Stay current with educational methodologies and industry trends. Implement new technologies and approaches to enhance learning experiences for yoga teachers and practitioners.
What You Will BringBachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4 years).
7 years of experience in education program planning and management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing teams.
4 years of experience in credentialing, accreditation, and course evaluation.
High degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
Excellent skills in collaboration, communication, judgment, problem-solving, project management, and public speaking.
Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, remote, and diverse environment.
Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Customer Relationship Management platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and project management tools (e.g., Monday).
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Desired QualificationsExperience with products that have an international footprint.
Association experience.
Experience with learning management systems.

Our organization is remote-first, but we have an office in Arlington, Virginia, accessible to all employees.
Salary Range$95,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience.
