SummaryAs an Online Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students residing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Utilizing various digital platforms, you will engage with students to ensure their educational needs are met while fostering a supportive learning environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, design, and implement curriculum in alignment with state, national, and local standards.
Cultivate professional relationships with students and families to enhance student learning experiences.
Monitor student progress and provide timely intervention when necessary, adhering to established teacher expectations.
Maintain accurate documentation of correspondence with students and families, ensuring compliance with school policies.
Create, implement, and evaluate yearly professional development plans to enhance teaching skills.
Actively engage in professional learning communities and contribute to collaborative discussions.
Evaluate student work and submit grades promptly to ensure academic progress.
Attend biannual parent-teacher conferences to provide updates on student performance.
Manage classroom resources, including equipment, supplies, and software, to facilitate effective teaching.
Prioritize student safety within the online learning environment.
Proctor local and state standardized tests as required.
Deliver personalized instruction to students through individualized and small group sessions, both synchronously and asynchronously.
Participate in IEP, section 504, and student support meetings as needed.
Engage in onsite and online district professional development initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the school administration.
Expected Hours Of WorkWhile the nature of online teaching offers flexibility, this role typically requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. You will generally be available between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the flexibility to adjust remaining hours based on scheduled obligations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION And EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a 4-year college or university.
Current MN English Teaching License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION And EXPERIENCEExperience working with Moodle and digital learning tools.
Experience working with at-risk youth.
