DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math teacher to join our team as a long-term substitute for a portion of the school year. This role will begin approximately two weeks before the associated teacher’s leave of absence, with an expected start date in October 2024. The exact start and end dates will be confirmed closer to the service period.
As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for teaching Math to students in grades 6 and 7, including Math 6 and Pre-Algebra. The ideal candidate will connect with students of these age groups and bring expertise in modern teaching methods that enhance students’ learning experiences.

Employment Type: Full-Time
As a long-term substitute, you will be responsible for teaching Math to students in grades 6 and 7, including Math 6 and Pre-Algebra. The ideal candidate will connect with students of these age groups and bring expertise in modern teaching methods that enhance students’ learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Middle School math concepts such as quantitative reasoning, numeracy, algebraic thinking, fractions, decimals, graphing equations, and problem-solving.
- Foster critical thinking skills and engage students in dynamic classroom discussions.
- Promote active, student-centered learning.
- Advise students and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the school community.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Math Education or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, with a preference for those with more extensive experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
