Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Deliver Instruction: Create and present engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and learning objectives. Provide both theoretical and practical instruction in areas including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, patient care, and medical office administration.
Model Best Practices: Demonstrate proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in medical assisting.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Cultivate an inclusive, interactive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, growth, and success.
Guide Hands-On Learning: Supervise and assist students during laboratory exercises, simulations, and clinical practice.
Assess and Support: Evaluate student progress through various assessments and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their clinical skills and professional development.
Address Individual Needs: Identify and support students who may need additional assistance to ensure their success.
Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest medical practices, industry trends, and advancements in medical assisting.
Collaborate and Contribute: Work with colleagues to enhance the curriculum, contribute to program improvements, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory setting.
Mentor Students: Offer guidance and support throughout students' educational journey, serving as a resource and role model.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials preferred.
At least 3 years of professional experience as a medical assistant.
Experience in teaching or training, particularly in a medical assisting or healthcare education setting, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical assisting principles, practices, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to students.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring future medical assistants.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in instructional technology and multimedia resources.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.

This position includes day and evening shifts, with some flexibility for remote work.
