Position OverviewWe're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Interventionist to join our team. If you're driven by the desire to help students thrive academically, this role is perfect for you! As a Math Interventionist, you'll closely support tier 3 students who require additional assistance in mathematics, making a significant impact on their learning journey by fostering confidence and building essential math skills.
What You'll DoEngage and Empower: Provide targeted math instruction in small groups or one-on-one sessions.
Customize Learning: Develop and implement personalized learning plans based on individual student needs and progress.
Monitor and Adjust: Utilize data to track student progress and adapt instructional strategies for optimal success.
Collaborate: Partner with classroom teachers to align intervention approaches with classroom instruction.
Grow Professionally: Stay abreast of best practices in math intervention through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Communicate: Keep parents and guardians informed about student progress and offer guidance for supporting learning at home.
Document: Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention strategies.
What You'll BringEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant field.
Certification: Valid Michigan teaching certification required (If out-of-state, must obtain Michigan certification within 2 months of hire).
Experience: Demonstrated experience in virtual teaching and curriculum development, particularly in middle school education.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with digital educational platforms like Edmentum and Seesaw.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Availability: Minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
