Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic professional to lead and innovate within our Low Carbon Business portfolio. This position involves providing strategic guidance and technical expertise for projects related to CO2 pipelines, sequestration, and other initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of traditional energy sources. Responsibilities include collaboration with commercial development teams, oversight of project execution, and supporting operations to ensure safe, efficient, and budget-conscious outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Safety: Promote safety and efficiency throughout all asset development and delivery phases.
  • Project Management: Supervise technical design and engineering for projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory approvals and adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Team Coordination: Manage staffing and resources necessary for project objectives and lead the planning of various projects.
  • Vendor & Contractor Relations: Prepare RFQs, evaluate applications, and negotiate with vendors and contractors to address budget, schedule, and quality concerns.
  • Risk Management: Perform strategic project risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies while maintaining thorough project documentation and reporting.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the company positively in the community and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 20 years in industrial processing, refining, LNG, midstream, or petrochemical sectors, with considerable experience in capital project management.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven track record in managing complex projects that include safety, QA/QC, compliance, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and managing EPC projects from inception to completion.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication capabilities, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, peers, and external stakeholders.
  • Integrity & Teamwork: High ethical standards, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to inspire trust while working well with others.
