DescriptionWe are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX! In this role, you will lead and inspire our nursing staff to deliver exceptional care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate a Positive Culture: Foster a nursing culture that prioritizes the highest quality and safest care, creating an exceptional experience for patients, providers, and associates.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Engage with physicians and staff to build trust, establish credibility, and promote a collaborative environment.
  • Enhance Associate Engagement: Implement strategies to boost associate engagement and retention, aiming to reduce turnover and increase job satisfaction.
  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work with leadership and medical staff to develop new patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure Quality Care: Develop and implement programs to assess and improve the quality of nursing care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare at a market level.
  • Standardize Practices: Maintain consistency in nursing care standards and practices.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate on developing and implementing nursing policies and objectives.
  • Support and Develop Staff: Provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to nursing staff.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage departmental operations, ensuring compliance with established standards, financial targets, and productivity.
  • Stay Current: Keep up with innovative nursing practices and procedures, applying your extensive experience to achieve goals.
  • Consult on Projects: Offer expertise on complex projects and contribute at a high level in nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Credentials: Must be a Registered Nurse with a credential from the Texas Board of Nursing. Additional certifications like Nurse Executive from AACN or ANCC are preferred.
  • Education: Master's degree in nursing, business administration, or health administration preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of nursing experience with 2 years in a leadership role. Preference for 10 years of experience with 5 years in a management role, and experience in an integrated healthcare system.
