SummaryIn this role, you will be integral to managing and enhancing the daily activities of our organization. Your primary focus will be optimizing human resources management and overseeing contract administration. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's goals and support its growth. This position is remote but requires occasional visits to the Washington, DC metropolitan area for staff meetings, retreats, and other events.
Strategic Planning And Improvement
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish and execute strategic goals.
  • Assist in creating strategic plans and identifying key performance indicators for the Operations department.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures for effective processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct assessments to promote a positive organizational culture, collaboration, and communication.
Operations Administration
  • Manage business insurance policies and related expenses for cost-efficiency.
  • Regularly review insurance policies to align with strategic objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational systems and processes.
  • Oversee workflow in the Operations department and recommend improvements.
  • Utilize tools like Asana to manage projects and ensure effective communication.
  • Coordinate administrative functions across departments.
Human Resources Management
  • Implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organizational mission and legal standards.
  • Oversee HR functions including talent acquisition, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate on performance management processes to track progress against goals.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with HR reporting requirements and maintain accurate employee records.
Contracts Administration
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in contract management.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts to align with organizational goals.
  • Lead contract negotiations to protect organizational interests.
  • Track compliance with contractual obligations and manage renewals.
  • Provide training and resources for staff involved in contract management.
Information Technology Administration
  • Collaborate with IT services to ensure technology infrastructure supports organizational needs.
  • Manage IT staff responsiveness and address technical inquiries promptly.
Finance Administration
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop standard operating procedures.
  • Support the finance team during audits and assist with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Help plan for resource utilization and address potential risks and opportunities.
Other Duties
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support organizational objectives.
Experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of three years in a director-level or equivalent position.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise in operations management within a non-profit or corporate setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and generate enthusiasm.
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, HR practices, and IT systems.
  • Experience with platforms such as MS 365, Asana, and Paylocity.
Work Environment And Travel
  • This role is remote, with occasional travel required to the Washington, DC area for meetings and events. Periodic travel to conferences may also be necessary.
Physical Demands
  • The role requires regular communication and the ability to operate computers and other office equipment.
