DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic Medical Leader for our Cancer Service Line. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping the future of cancer care by leading system-level planning and implementation. You will collaborate closely with both clinical and operational leaders to enhance patient experience, streamline care delivery, and drive operational excellence across multiple cancer care locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with administrative and clinical leaders to advance the development and execution of cancer service line strategies. Lead system-level initiatives to enhance patient care, improve clinical outcomes, and ensure high-quality service across all locations.
- System Integration: Facilitate the integration of cancer services across various locations, ensuring seamless coordination from screening and diagnosis to treatment and end-of-life care.
- Clinical Oversight: Oversee both inpatient and ambulatory cancer services, focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.
- Strategic Planning: Implement and manage the cancer service line's strategic plan, including annual priorities and fiscal year initiatives, to achieve significant impact and growth.
- Performance Management: Develop and manage quality committees, performance metrics, and improvement projects to ensure excellence in care and adherence to cancer accreditations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with key stakeholders, including physicians, clinical teams, and corporate functions, to drive alignment and support the delivery of multidisciplinary care.
- Recruitment and Engagement: Foster a positive work environment, support physician and employee engagement, and lead recruitment efforts as needed.
- Operational Excellence: Establish mechanisms to ensure financial performance, sustainability, and effective resource utilization within the cancer service line.
- Growth Initiatives: Lead regional and national growth efforts, including the development of clinical affiliate relationships and strategic proposals.
- MD or DO degree with board certification in oncology (medical, surgical, gynecologic, or radiation oncology).
- Proven track record as a respected clinician with the ability to maintain a part-time clinical practice.
- Senior-level experience in cancer leadership within a complex, high-performing healthcare system.
- Strong background in system integration and network development with a focus on exceptional patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in change management.
- Demonstrated success in using data and technology to enhance patient care.
- Experience in large, academic-based health systems and university-based, NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers.
- National leadership roles and involvement in cancer-related professional associations or societies.
- Evidence of professional writing, scholarship, or teaching.
- Additional graduate education in health administration, business, public health, or a related field.
