Are you an experienced accounting professional seeking an engaging role with the potential for significant impact? This position places you at the center of our financial operations, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities from payroll management to invoicing. You will collaborate closely with both the CEO and CFO, combining hands-on accounting activities with strategic oversight.
## Key Responsibilities
### Payroll Management
- Oversee payroll calculations ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage onboarding processes for new hires and address HR-related queries.
- Maintain payroll setup in ADP and administer 401(k) accounts.
- Prepare and review invoicing twice a month using our internal ERP system.
- Supervise the Collection and Reimbursable Expenses Accountant.
- Handle collections and ensure timely billing processes.
- Process weekly and monthly payments while reconciling accounts.
- Deposit checks and maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in the monthly accounting cycle.
- Ensure adherence to accounting procedures and contribute to developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare managerial reports and support budgeting processes.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting software, coordinating with developers, IT, and auditors.
- Provide training and support to the accounting team.
- Monitor the accuracy of managerial reporting and execute special projects as directed by leadership.
### Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Additional accounting certifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of five years of accounting experience, with familiarity in Sage, QuickBooks, or similar software.
- Experience in HR and previous roles as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Accountant in small to medium-sized companies is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and project management experience.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.
