DescriptionYou will lead and oversee all aspects of property management for a multi-family property portfolio. This role involves driving day-to-day operations, fostering teamwork, and ensuring both financial success and high-quality service delivery. You'll be integral in overcoming challenges, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining long-term asset health.
Key Responsibilities
  • Property Operations Management: Oversee all facets of property operations including maintenance, leasing, and resident management. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, vendors, partners, and owners.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and management to the property management teams. Guide and support team members to achieve their best.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the liaison to local military partners, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Foster and maintain strong local stakeholder relationships.
  • Asset Maintenance and Planning: Develop and implement local strategic plans for maintenance and repairs. Support the upkeep of physical assets and contribute to annual growth objectives and resource planning.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Lead the development and implementation of customer service programs and evaluation processes for the property management team.
  • Financial Oversight: Review and track financial performance, including overseeing capital repairs and replacements. Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, and provide insights for budget reconciliations.
  • Vendor Management: Source vendors, issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and ensure adherence to Property Management Service Agreements (PMSAs).
  • Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with senior management to support best practices and operational excellence. Contribute to long-range property management objectives and participate in strategy meetings.
  • Marketing and Development: Assist in local marketing initiatives and support development and construction efforts to drive company growth and effectiveness.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to work onsite during emergencies or disasters to protect and support residents and assets.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and develop property operations team members to build a high-performing team.
Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Manage staff including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and recommendations for salary increases or promotions. Oversee subordinate supervisors and ensure effective team management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or a related field, or relevant industry credentialing.
  • Experience: 5 years managing a multi-site property management portfolio, with increasing responsibilities. 3 years in a supervisory role in property management or hospitality.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to build strategic relationships and lead diverse teams. Proficiency with operational software and data analysis. Ability to handle travel requirements and adapt to different environments.
Work EnvironmentOffice setting with up to 25-40% travel, depending on location. Ability to work from home with minimal distractions is necessary. Onsite visits may require Personal Protective Equipment.
Physical DemandsRegular travel, occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and extended periods of sitting. Proficient use of office equipment and handling stress associated with high-level corporate responsibilities.
Travel RequirementsTravel approximately 25-40% of the time, depending on assigned locations.
