Get It Recruit - Executive is Hiring a Senior Director of Project Management and Client Relations Near Newark, DE

Position OverviewIn this role, you will lead multiple projects from inception to successful completion while ensuring financial success. You will collaborate closely with the VP of Operations, mentor Project Manager Assistants, and coordinate efforts across the Project Management team. Additionally, you will foster new business opportunities and build strong relationships with current and potential clients.
Key Competencies
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with estimating software, EBM, and scheduling tools is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with employees, management, vendors, and clients, along with strong written skills for creating reports and professional correspondence.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally while representing the company with professionalism at events.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality work aligned with the company's vision and mission.
  • Support the VP of Operations in managing project profitability and leading Project Managers and Junior Project Managers.
  • Serve as the initial client contact to determine project scope, schedule, and resource needs.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates, including thorough reviews of plans, specifications, and bid forms.
  • Plan and organize projects under the VP Operations’ guidance.
  • Set project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise change orders, negotiate terms, and seek VP Operations’ approval.
  • Oversee construction activities with Foremen and Field Superintendents to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Address and resolve any significant issues in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners and general contractors to facilitate project progress and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate pre-construction and post-project review meetings.
  • Develop specific goals and plans for effective work organization and timely completion.
  • Prepare monthly costing reports with oversight from the VP of Operations, CEO, and CFO.
  • Review and correct field labor reports and schedules weekly.
  • Manage contract financial aspects, including billing and expenses, to protect company interests while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Conduct onsite visits to ensure safety compliance with policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures.
  • Oversee job closeout procedures and ensure retention collection.
  • Represent the company in project and planning meetings.
  • Build supportive relationships with employees, promoting a merit-based approach.
  • Provide constructive performance feedback, including recognition, rewards, and disciplinary actions, with HR assistance when needed.
  • Lead performance management and development processes, including goal setting and feedback.
Physical Demands
  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Occasionally move about the office and operate office machinery.
  • Constantly use a computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work in various physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and indoor environments.
  • Potential exposure to distracting sounds or noise levels on project sites.
  • Required to wear common protective or safety equipment as needed.
