Core Responsibilities
  • Account Reconciliation: Manage and analyze account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the general ledger, including preparing journal entries and conducting monthly closing activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports by researching, analyzing, and summarizing account data.
  • Strategic Insights: Collaborate with the consulting team to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local financial regulations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement accounting policies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Audit Support: Assist during audits by providing necessary information and documentation.
  • Budget and Planning: Participate in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Mentorship: Train and guide junior staff on accounting principles and procedures.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; consulting experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in account reconciliation, general ledger management, and accounting software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting regulations and GAAP.
  • Analytical Skills: Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Certifications: CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of data-driven decision-making and resolving issues effectively.
  • Integrity: Dependable, with a results-oriented approach.
