What We're SeekingThe company is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative based in Maricopa County, AZ. This position offers a primarily remote work arrangement with occasional training and meetings held at our headquarters in Tempe, AZ. Join our dynamic Accounts Receivable team in Tempe, AZ, as we expand our roster of dedicated professionals. This full-time opportunity is open to residents of Maricopa County.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will play a crucial role in our revenue cycle team, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered. Your key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting daily follow-up on outstanding insurance and patient claims
  • Researching and validating posted payments and adjustments to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
  • Reviewing and processing correspondence to resolve open A/R balances
  • Collaborating with supervisors to optimize billing procedures based on denial types
  • Assessing denials and underpayments for appeal or resolution
  • Handling incoming inquiries from patients and insurance companies regarding claims and balances
  • Sharing insights on best billing practices and payor trends to enhance revenue cycle operations
  • Participating in revenue cycle projects as required
Essential Education, Experience, And Skills
  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Two years in billing electronic and paper physician claims, familiarity with Managed Care Contracts, Medicare, and Medicaid
Valued But Not Required Education, Experience, And Skills
  • Experience: Medical collections, familiarity with Nextgen EHR & EPM
