ResponsibilitiesAs an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will play a crucial role in our revenue cycle team, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered. Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily follow-up on outstanding insurance and patient claims
- Researching and validating posted payments and adjustments to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Reviewing and processing correspondence to resolve open A/R balances
- Collaborating with supervisors to optimize billing procedures based on denial types
- Assessing denials and underpayments for appeal or resolution
- Handling incoming inquiries from patients and insurance companies regarding claims and balances
- Sharing insights on best billing practices and payor trends to enhance revenue cycle operations
- Participating in revenue cycle projects as required
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Two years in billing electronic and paper physician claims, familiarity with Managed Care Contracts, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Experience: Medical collections, familiarity with Nextgen EHR & EPM
