Role Overview:Join our high-growth organization as an Assistant Controller, where you will play a pivotal role in leading our general ledger team and overseeing the monthly financial close process. Collaborating closely with our Director of Accounting and VP of Accounting, you will contribute directly to achieving our company goals.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and optimize the monthly US financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to streamline processes and achieve a 5-day close cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce timely and insightful financial reports.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and assist with complex financial transactions.
- Interface with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee ERP enhancement projects to maintain a cutting-edge accounting technical stack.
- Support treasury functions and other ad-hoc projects as required.
- BA/BS/MS in Accounting; CPA required, with a preference for public accounting experience.
- Minimum 4 years of management-level experience leading accounting teams.
- Proven success in managing month-end close processes and mentoring senior accountants.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 350.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with enterprise-level accounting systems.
