Position OverviewAs a Client Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in our client-facing team, leading an accounting team with diverse skill sets while serving as the primary point of contact for clients. We're seeking a professional who is passionate about team leadership, client service, process improvement, and embracing technology, all while having a keen eye for numbers.
Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned client relationships, providing coaching for your team and delivering business advisory services.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and more.
• Lead month-end close processes, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and prepare financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and segregation of duties, leveraging technology to streamline processes.
• Stay updated with the latest changes in GAAP and proactively identify areas for process improvement.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver exceptional client experiences and resolve any issues promptly.
• Manage ad-hoc projects and maintain positive working relationships within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in change management, data analysis, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Controller or Director within a mid-market organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/MBA preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP software systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in cloud-based technology and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in nonprofit or federal cost accounting is an asset.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.

• Dedicated workspace with high-speed internet available during client business hours.
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of desk work and computer usage.
