Job SummaryThis is a remote position within a specific region, requiring travel. The Director of Sales will lead our sales strategies, policies, and initiatives. They will oversee sales operations at the district level, driving revenue growth and achieving financial goals through effective tactical planning and execution.
Education And/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience (7 years).
Proven success in direct sales and sales management, preferably in a VAR (Value-Added Reseller) environment.
Strong business acumen with expertise in sales and finance.
Experience engaging with senior-level executives (VP level or higher).
Deep understanding of the technology marketplace, OEM solutions, and VAR channel programs.
Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesDemonstrated track record in sales and sales management, with a focus on achieving quarterly and annual targets.
Proficiency in forecasting and KPI management.
Strong recruitment skills and established networks within the assigned market.
Ability to identify and address complex business challenges with technology solutions.
Self-motivated, capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement initiatives, tools, and processes to support sales operations.
Set and monitor departmental and group-level sales goals using data-driven insights.
Analyze market trends and customer insights to drive innovative solutions.
Build and mentor effective sales teams through recruitment and development programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and propose new products or solutions.
Manage departmental budgets and strategize to meet organizational sales goals.
Acquire, retain, and grow client accounts through strategic sales initiatives and relationship-building.
Participate in high-value sales negotiations and strategic partnerships.
Support local and national marketing initiatives to enhance sales efforts.
Assess client business needs and recommend appropriate training or development solutions.
Meet individual and team quotas while demonstrating competency in consultative selling and relationship management.
Adapt to irregular work schedules and travel requirements as needed.
Environmental Factors And Physical RequirementsThis role operates in a typical business office or home office environment.
Requires regular use of office equipment and personal computers.
Ability to travel frequently by various means, including automobile and air travel.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as necessary.
