Role OverviewAs a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in our finance and accounting operations, working on a range of detail-oriented tasks including journal entries, compensation tracking, account reconciliations, monthly close procedures, financial statement reporting, and annual audit support. You'll collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Corporate Accounting, FP&A, HR, Tax, Treasury, and Payroll to ensure seamless processes and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct variance analysis at both account and legal entity levels
  • Perform bank reconciliations as necessary
  • Track awards for new offer letters, continuing employment letters, and separation agreements
  • Compile and review journal entries for both cash and non-cash compensation items during the monthly close process
  • Support the administration of the firm's incentive compensation process and communicate with HR department regarding compensation matters
  • Provide award payments to Payroll on a semi-monthly basis
  • Reconcile compensation accounts monthly across all legal entities
  • Prepare annual phantom award letters for participating employees
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Management Reporting departments as needed
  • Assist with Corporate audit tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 4-8 years of experience in corporate reporting or financial management roles
  • Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VBA; experience with OneStream software is a plus
  • Knowledge of recent GAAP pronouncements and ability to apply standards in practice
  • Previous experience with monthly/annual close processes and GL systems is desirable
  • Coding experience, particularly with Excel VBA, is desired but not required
