Shape The FutureAs a Principal Success Manager, you will use your deep knowledge of our products, business, and industry to actively engage with our customers, helping them realize significant value from their investment. You'll become a trusted partner at the executive level, fostering strong relationships and guiding customers through their digital transformation journeys. This role involves interacting with a diverse range of customers in various stages of their lifecycle and complexity, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
Your role is crucial in steering post-sales initiatives through a strategic Customer Success program aimed at enhancing digital transformation efforts. This involves a series of activities, resources, and relationships designed to maximize subscription utilization, prevent attrition, and boost overall customer health and satisfaction. By proposing innovative solutions and optimizations, you'll play a key role in advancing our customers' adoption of automated processes, improving their operational efficiency, and enriching their user experience. A dynamic approach is necessary, as you will often guide customers in clarifying their processes to leverage our solutions effectively.
What You Will Do
  • Evaluate customers' current processes, design optimal solutions, and deliver transformational outcomes using data-driven insights to demonstrate the potential of full platform adoption.
  • Create bespoke, cutting-edge solutions for complex customer issues, establishing new benchmarks where standard answers do not suffice.
  • Forge deep relationships with customer stakeholders, including executives in Accounting, IT, and business, to understand their objectives and drive the digital transformation agenda.
  • Apply hands-on product knowledge to align BlackLine's features with customer business operations.
  • Identify potential risks to customers achieving their business goals and collaborate with the account team to devise risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design and execute a detailed success roadmap for customers, illustrating progress from current state to desired future state, complete with timelines and implementation plans.
  • Act as a key contributor to strategic account planning, working alongside sales and other teams to expand accounts, optimize license usage, and enhance customer engagement.
  • Deliver expert advice and practical demonstrations of our solutions, fostering product understanding and advocating for expanded use.
  • Conduct high-impact customer interactions such as Success Reviews and Executive Business Reviews through various formats including webcasts, teleconferences, and onsite visits.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Over 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial software solutions.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 6 years in customer-facing roles, with a deep understanding of BlackLine products or similar solutions.
  • Proficiency in Visio or similar process mapping tools, with a solid grasp of CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, consultative, and relationship-building skills, adept at engaging with C-level executives.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; self-motivated with a high level of curiosity and a keen interest in continuous learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a compelling presentation style.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CIA, or related accounting certification is highly desirable.

Salary Range: USD $134,000.00 - USD $179,000.00
