In this role, you will play a crucial role in monitoring project progress, managing subcontractor payments, processing accounts payable, invoicing clients, and maintaining project budgets. Responsibilities
Monitor project progress and ensure accurate subcontractor payments, AP processing, client invoicing, and budget tracking.
Investigate variances and ensure timely issuance of project billings and collection of payments.
Maintain detailed knowledge of project costs, revenue, profit, and cash flow.
Conduct hands-on cost accounting for multiple projects, including client invoicing and subcontractor AP processing.
Review contracts to understand project financials, including contract value, billing schedule, cost estimates, and related details.
Provide weekly updates on accounts receivable and project closeouts to supervisors.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers to provide support and ensure project direction.
Enforce existing Project Accounting and Company Policies and Procedures effectively.
Monitor projects from a risk management perspective and escalate issues as necessary.
Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple project managers and assistant project managers.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with CMiC is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
2-5 years of construction project-related experience preferred.
