- Review and manage tax returns and extensions across various entity types, focusing on Individual taxes.
- Review financial statements, perform accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and manage client books.
- Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individuals and corporations.
- Monitor client deliverables and deadlines closely.
- Handle U.S. and state income, gift, and estate tax returns.
- Conduct thorough tax research and prepare detailed memos.
- Respond to IRS and state audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, management, and tax authorities.
- Lead department in software knowledge, processes, and workflows.
- Minimum 4-10 years of relevant tax experience.
- Strong background in individual tax compliance and planning.
- Proficiency in tax research tools (RIA).
- Experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is a plus.
- Familiarity with partnership tax is advantageous.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to continual improvement.
- Ability and desire to mentor, train, and develop staff.
