Position Title: SBA Liquidation Specialist
Position OverviewJoin our team as an SBA Liquidation Specialist and play a vital role in managing problem loans within our liquidation and Real Estate Owned portfolio, particularly focused on SBA lending. We are seeking an experienced professional who can navigate various stages of loan workout scenarios with a commitment to resolution and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage troubled loans at different work out stages, post default.
- Collaborate with borrowers to develop workout plans aimed at minimizing credit loss.
- Assist in preparing liquidation packages such as Universal Purchase Package (UPP) and Charge-off Package (Wrap-up).
- Engage with debtors to explore appropriate workout options.
- Maintain accurate tracking of loans in repurchased status for charge-off confirmation.
- Utilize critical thinking to solve problems and optimize recoveries while adhering to bank compliance and legal standards.
- Coordinate the disposal/liquidation of collateral and bank-owned real estate.
- Liaise with the legal team to devise litigation plans and initiate legal actions when necessary.
- Prepare regular status and quarterly reports for loans in credit resolution.
- Monitor and update SBA monthly/quarterly reports for loans in repurchase status.
- Manage loans in charge-off and bankruptcy status efficiently.
- Perform tasks related to loans in various workout, liquidation, and active foreclosure stages.
- Stay informed about changes to the SBA SOP to ensure compliance.
- Keep abreast of lender policies, SBA policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain high levels of organization and attention to detail.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned to enhance team performance.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in loan workouts and credit resolution (required).
- Background in commercial lending (required).
- Prior experience in SBA liquidation (required).
- Advanced knowledge of bank systems, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and departments.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to changes in SBA regulations and processes.
- Diligence in meeting deadlines.
