Get It Recruit - Finance is Hiring a Remote Senior Accounting Analyst -- Remote | WFH
Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for an exciting and dynamic role? We are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various departments, including finance, HR, and program management, gaining valuable experience in a highly visible position. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience that is typically acquired in a rotational program.
### Responsibilities:
Project Setup
- Understand and interpret various contracts, processes, and procedures to accurately set up contracts in Deltek Costpoint.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure agreement on key contract terms and conditions.
- Support the monthly close process by monitoring and maintaining contract master data.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining new hires and current employees in Deltek Costpoint with HR/Payroll assistance.
- Coordinate and review timesheets for completeness and accuracy, and follow up with department supervisors for any missed time during the semi-monthly payroll cycle.
- Process timesheet corrections as provided by project teams and finance staff.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any issues as needed.
- Analyze monthly general ledger activity and provide commentary for financial statement reviews.
- Perform other ad hoc accounting, billing, or reporting duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- At least two years of accounting experience in the government contracting industry.
- Minimum of two years of experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- A proactive team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and assume accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills.
