As part of our support for the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) Air Warfare Division (N98), you'll play a crucial role in managing a $45 billion resource portfolio and shaping the future of Naval Aviation.
Role OverviewIn this role, you'll collaborate closely with the OPNAV N98 staff at the Pentagon, providing essential financial and budgetary analysis. Your responsibilities will include assisting in budget development, analyzing operational priorities, and ensuring fiscal constraints are met. Additionally, you'll deliver detailed analysis of naval aviation force structures and support investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Programming and Budgeting Section leadership to develop balanced annual budgets.
- Provide comprehensive analysis of POM development and PPBE processes.
- Offer expert insights into historical decisions and appropriations within N98.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational and fiscal risks across the Naval Aviation portfolio.
- Present alternative analysis to support government recommendations effectively.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience consulting directly with military clients.
- Proficiency in POM development, PPBE process, and PBIS.
- Previous engagement with System Command PMA/PMW BFMs and Budget Directors/Comptrollers.
- In-depth understanding of US Naval Aviation programs and ability to provide programmatic recommendations.
