Role Overview As a Senior GL Accountant, you will perform a variety of financial and accounting tasks. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with excellent communication and organizational skills. This role demands strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Reporting to the Controller, you'll collaborate closely with our team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage monthly and quarterly close cycles, and prepare consolidated financial statements.
Collaborate with HR to process global payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including reviewing payroll calculations and posting journal entries. Enforce corporate expense report policies by reviewing employee expense reports.
Act as a liaison between 3rd party accounting firms and our US head office regarding intercompany activities for multiple subsidiaries.
Perform GL functions, manage cash, and assist the Controller with daily accounting activities.
Reconcile GL accounts, prepare accounting schedules, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Support external tax firms in preparing federal, state, local, and foreign tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate financial data delivery.
Contribute to improving systems and developing accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, internal controls, and best practices.
Actively participate in annual audits conducted by external auditors and annual bank due diligence processes.
Assist in various ad-hoc projects and compliance initiatives as needed.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5 years of experience in financial and accounting roles.
CPA license strongly preferred.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
Proficiency in Accounting Software (Intacct), and familiarity with bill.com & Ramp.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Experience with intercompany transactions, subsidiary consolidation, and financial statement preparation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving and analysis.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively.
