Job OverviewAs a Tax Associate or Senior, you will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting research, and advising clients on tax matters. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex tax regulations and maximize their financial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities, including individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Conduct thorough tax research and stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.
Assist clients in developing tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
Analyze financial statements to determine tax implications and ensure accurate reporting.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address questions, and provide updates on tax-related matters.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality deliverables.
Participate in training programs to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
Mentor and guide junior staff, supporting their professional growth and development.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA certification preferred.
2 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
