Role OverviewWe are seeking Remote Tax Managers and Tax Seniors who value work-life balance and thrive in a supportive environment. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
ResponsibilitiesReview and manage tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations for various entity types, focusing on individuals and families.
Oversee financial statements and perform accounting and adjusting entries, bank reconciliations, and maintain client books and records.
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liabilities.
Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates.
Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns.
Conduct in-depth tax research and prepare detailed memoranda outlining findings and conclusions.
Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
Communicate directly with clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters.
Lead the department in software knowledge, processes, and workflows.
Qualifications4-10 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in individual tax compliance and planning.
Tax research experience (RIA).
Experience with gift, estate, and trust returns is a plus.
Familiarity with partnerships and S Corps tax.
Outgoing and friendly personality; a team player.
Forward-thinking and always seeking ways to improve, learn, and grow.
Desire and ability to train, mentor, and develop staff.
