Responsibilities
- Analyze health benefit plan characteristics and assess risks for our clients.
- Utilize established underwriting criteria and policies to determine appropriate rating methodologies.
- Develop and maintain models for economic analysis of market alternatives.
- Evaluate and recommend pricing options and plan design changes based on economic analysis and trends.
- Prepare financial models for reserve and budget calculations aligned with client strategies.
- Validate renewals and requests for proposals ensuring accuracy in utilization and experience reporting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare underwriting across various products and funding types (PPO, HMO, Stop Loss, Pharmacy, Self-Funded/ Fully-Insured).
- 2 years of experience in Risk Management.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and calculate revenue, expense, risk, and profit metrics.
- This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S.
- Salary range for this role varies by location and factors such as local labor markets, education, and experience.
