Get It Recruit - Healthcare is Hiring a Remote Medical Assistant I - Remote | WFH

About The Role:As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting a Care Team consisting of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) dedicated to patient care. Your responsibilities will include gathering pertinent medical information from patients and handling administrative tasks to meet the needs of both the practice and patients.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with flexible working hours between 7am - 10pm EST, depending on operational requirements. You will report directly to the RN Manager.

This position is remote/work-from-home. Applicants must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Please note that this list of states is subject to change.
Pay Transparency:The compensation for this role is $20/hr. Additionally, you will be eligible for employee benefits and accrue up to 10 days of vacation annually.
Responsibilities:Provide live video virtual check-in and check-out support for patients
Offer live phone and messaging assistance to patients
Support your Care Team, including virtual physicians, APPs, and RNs
Plan for each patient's medical needs from initial outreach to resolution
Assist with the order process, including sending requisition forms and coordinating referrals
Follow up with providers after referrals, including collecting patient notes
Schedule follow-up appointments with patients
Communicate with providers and facilities to clarify information and address complex cases
Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure patients' needs are met (Laboratories, Imaging Facilities, Pharmacies, Vendors)
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a primary care, urgent care, or multi-specialty clinic
Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma
Bonus Points:Experience in a virtual practice environment
Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)

Pay Transparency:Final offer amounts, within the base pay stated above, are determined based on factors including relevant skills, education, and experience.
