ResponsibilitiesAs the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, bringing together your expertise and passion for healthcare to drive positive outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
Utilizing your extensive medical experience and qualifications to ensure the highest standards of care.
Collaborating with various stakeholders to develop coverage and medical necessity policies and guidelines.
Applying your knowledge of the healthcare landscape, particularly Medicare, to navigate coverage and payment rules effectively.
Engaging in public relations activities, fostering relationships with physician groups, beneficiary organizations, and congressional offices.
QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
A minimum of three years of experience practicing medicine as a board-certified physician.
Experience in the health insurance industry, utilization review firms, or similar organizations.
Thorough understanding of Medicare programs and regulations.
Strong public relations skills with a proven track record of effective communication.
Education And LicensureDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Current licensure to practice medicine.
