DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to join our established, physician-owned private practice focused solely on providing high-quality care. This position is open to adult patients (ages 18-64) and offers a supportive and collegial atmosphere. Position Details

Position Type: Permanent preferred; locums-to-permanent options available
Qualifications: Open to MD, DO, or MBBS candidates only. New graduates are welcome to apply!
Role Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management
100% outpatient practice
Office located in NW Washington, DC
Hybrid work option available: up to 60% remote Telepsychiatry, with 1-2 days per week in the office
Flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time options (minimum 12 clinical hours per week). Evening and weekend hours can be chosen if desired.
No on-call or weekend work required, unless you prefer to work weekends
Contract Options
Part-time as an Independent Contractor (1099)
Full-time employment with benefits or Independent Contractor (1099) status

Patient Load and Support
New patient evaluations: 1 hour; follow-up appointments: 30 minutes
Max of 14 patients scheduled in an 8-hour workday (7 clinical hours 1 hour for administrative tasks); average of 12 patients per day, accounting for no-shows
User-friendly Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with remote access
Available dictation systems to streamline documentation and reduce charting time, including virtual or AI scribe options (fee applicable)
Administrative support for tasks such as scheduling, billing, prior authorizations, and more, allowing you to focus on patient care
Comprehensive credentialing and marketing support to help fill your schedule
Eligibility Requirements
Degree: M.D. or D.O.
Training: Completion of an ACGME-approved Psychiatry residency
Licensure: Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted medical license in Washington, DC, or be eligible to obtain one. MD and VA licenses will also be required.
DC DEA license and Controlled Substance Registration are necessary
Board Certification: Preferred but not required; must plan to take boards and achieve certification within three years of residency completion
Computer literacy is essential, including experience with EMR systems, e-prescribing, and telepsychiatry technology
