Get It Recruit - Healthcare is Hiring a Remote Quality Control Indexing Analyst - Remote | WFH

Service Essential FunctionsTo ensure our document capture processes run smoothly, you'll perform one or both of the following functions as needed:
Prepping FunctionsProcess documents for scanning and indexing by identifying which documents are part of the patient's medical record.
Prepare documents (e.g., remove staples, paper clips; apply correct labels).
Sort each document according to the correct patient encounter.
Scanning FunctionsPerform daily maintenance on the scanner to ensure optimal image results.
Check documents to ensure they are ready for scanning.
Create appropriate batches for scanning.
Scan each batch, ensuring documents are scanned correctly and moved to the correct status.
Quality/Safety Essential FunctionsYou will ensure all medical record documents are indexed to the correct patient record and visit, correctly assigning document names and processing 100% of medical record pages. This includes locating and entering any missing data. Utilize resources like the Master Document Listing to ensure document accuracy. Process exception workbaskets, identify poor image captures, and make necessary corrections. Provide updated forms to administrative users and ensure all images are labeled with appropriate patient information. Validate that images match the paper documents and adhere to department productivity standards, policies, and procedures.
Finance Essential FunctionsEffectively organize your time to minimize incidental overtime and set priorities to stay efficient.

QualificationsEDUCATION
Associate's degree in health information management or a related field, or an additional two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Work ExperienceAt least one year of general clerical experience, medical record experience, or related experience.
Document Management Experience Is Strongly Preferred.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
No licenses or certifications required.
Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesDemonstrate the skills and competencies necessary for the job through ongoing assessments and performance evaluations.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Effective communication skills with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers, applying positive language principles.
Attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between various documents.
Quick learning ability for new and updated computer applications.
Proficient in keyboarding.
Working knowledge of all components of a medical record.
Ability to maintain knowledge of over 150 document types and classify documents accurately.
Understanding of electronic health records, document capture processes, and document placement auditing.

ON-CALL
Employees may be required to be on-call during emergencies (e.g., disasters, severe weather events).
TRAVEL
No travel required within or outside the Houston Metropolitan area.
