Get It Recruit - Healthcare is Hiring a Remote VP, Health Information Management - Remote | WFH

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Vice President, Health Information Management Services (HIM). Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Revenue Cycle, the Vice President of HIM will lead our Health Information Management Services and Coding Department with a focus on ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all patient medical records. In this pivotal position, you will drive the strategy for coordinating HIM and Coding services across our multi-facility healthcare system, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Position Responsibilities / ExpectationsSupervise and support Health Information Management personnel to ensure efficient completion of scanning, coding, and all aspects of record management, including assembly, abstracting, storage, and release.
Oversee the collection, analysis, distribution, storage, and appropriate disposal of health information, maintaining stringent quality standards.
Manage the coding process to uphold quality and ethical coding standards through validation, collaborating with coding staff to ensure accurate coding for reimbursement and clinical care.
Collaborate with physicians to enhance the quality of documentation and interface with legal counsel regarding medical record content.
Monitor HIM Key Indicators and report monthly to the Performance Improvement Committee, working to ensure DNFB and Bill Holds meet industry standards.
Partner with other departments to minimize denial write-offs and reduce billing discrepancies.
Develop, maintain, and enforce HIM policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational standards.
Lead, coordinate, implement, train, and evaluate HIM leaders and employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Analyze departmental needs, establish objectives, and align initiatives with organizational goals.
Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, meeting deadlines, and promptly responding to communications.
Keep abreast of industry regulations, leading initiatives such as technology deployment, training requirements, and technical support processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Manage multiple priorities and provide strategic problem analysis and resolution, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Health Information Management, Business, or related field.
ExperienceProgressive experience in Health Information Management within a hospital or healthcare system, with at least three years of management or supervisory experience.
Licensure/CertificationRHIA (Preferred)
RHIT (Preferred)Employment Type: Full-Time
