As a Travel Booking Agent, you'll be responsible for handling the entire research and booking process for clients. This includes finding and reserving airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and even booking events or activities. You'll work closely with clients to understand their preferences, budgets, and travel goals, ensuring every trip is tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and create exceptional itineraries for clients, taking into account their preferences and budget constraints
- Attend ongoing webinars and training sessions with travel vendors and suppliers to stay up-to-date with destinations and offerings
- Utilize your knowledge and expertise to provide recommendations and guidance to clients throughout the planning process
- Stay informed about changes and trends within the tourism industry
- Book travel arrangements, including airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, cruises, and event/activity tickets
- Effectively manage your time and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth communication and timely responses to clients
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work within the United States
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English
- Strong customer service or sales background (preferred but not required)
- Access to a smartphone with internet connectivity (a laptop is recommended but not mandatory)
- Personal travel experience is a plus, but not required
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is an advantage but not essential
