The Role: Construction Project Manager
As a Construction Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping productive and connected workplaces for businesses worldwide. You'll oversee the development of commercial interior projects from conception through construction and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects to meet quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals
- Oversee project communications and track schedules
- Review construction drawings and RFIs
- Evaluate and coordinate building systems
- Address code compliance issues
- Negotiate contracts and fees
- Coordinate bidding processes and manage value engineering strategies
- Lead project team meetings and maintain all project documentation
- Develop and maintain project logs and tracking tools
- Collaborate closely with Design, Real Estate, and Legal teams
- Evaluate and improve internal project management processes
- 7-12 years of experience managing commercial interior, retail, or hospitality construction projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of design and construction methods, including MEP systems
- Experience with project financials, including cost estimation and negotiation
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Project, Smartsheets, Procore, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite)
- Professional Architectural or Engineering degree
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask, make sound decisions under pressure, and work independently
- Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead multi-discipline meetings
This role will be based in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, or Chicago and will require travel to projects within the specific region.
Compensation And Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
