ResponsibilitiesAs a Specialist, Logistics, you'll play a crucial role in planning and coordinating the transportation, inventory management, and event coordination for our worldwide programs and operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and coordinating logistics for exponent and programming events.
  • Managing cross-functional projects and business solutions related to transportation, distribution, storage, and inventory management.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, tracking inventory, resources, financial transactions, and procurement compliance.
  • Preparing and presenting calendars, event schedules, status updates, and reports for exponent, programming events, and expeditionary programs inventory.
  • Planning and executing multiple, simultaneous exponent events, and leading cross-functional teams in the execution of care package events.
  • Developing and coordinating logistics plans for inventory and events with the Logistics Manager.
  • Managing and maintaining external partnerships, including designated U.S. Military and/or civilian partners, to support successful procurement of services, transportation, and delivery of materials.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a logistics/supply chain-related role.
  • Knowledge of logistics, inventory, and supply chain management best practices and compliance requirements in a military/global environment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a powered industrial truck (forklift) safely and professionally, with knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interact with leadership, public, and military audiences at various levels with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in computers, electronics equipment, and software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft365 and inventory management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential information with tact and poise, and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing organizational needs, work collaboratively in a team environment, and perform basic business/accounting functions, including project management and budget reconciliation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access facilities, including security, credit, and/or background screening, SOFA status, and a valid driver's license.
  • Strong advocacy for the organization's mission to lift the spirits of America's troops and their families.
This is a remote position based in Arlington, VA. Employees may be required to be vaccinated or tested regularly per local requirements. A resume and cover letter are required for full consideration. Background checks, including education, criminal, and driving records, will be conducted.
