ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed clinical case evaluations to assess the quality and appropriateness of medical care provided.
Provide expert medical guidance to regional office teams in planning, coordinating, and implementing nationwide healthcare program evaluations.
Collaborate with OIG regional offices and headquarters to conduct research and analysis for developing evaluation proposals.
Participate in strategic planning meetings to schedule inspections and projects, offering technical medical direction for national inspections and program evaluations.
RequirementsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of at least 1 year of supervised clinical experience post-graduation.
Full, unrestricted medical license in any US state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US territory (or eligibility to obtain one).
Minimum 3 Years Of Post-graduate Training Or Equivalent Experience.Demonstrated experience at a level equivalent to GS-14 or higher, involving substantial clinical responsibility and healthcare research.
