We are looking for a passionate National Events Specialist to play a key role in planning and executing a variety of engaging events. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission while showcasing your event planning expertise.
ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning and Execution: Coordinate and manage a range of events, including virtual, hybrid, and in-person experiences. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure events align with organizational goals.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and vendors. Serve as the main point of contact and maintain accurate records throughout the event cycle.
Logistics Management: Oversee event logistics, including venue contracting, travel coordination, and food and beverage management. Negotiate contracts with entertainment, speakers, and logistics providers.
Marketing and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to develop event-related marketing and communications strategies. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event materials.
Budget Oversight: Monitor event budgets and financials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial protocols. Compile event results and manage revenue and donations associated with events.
RequirementsExperience: Minimum 4 years of proven experience in event planning, with a track record of successful event execution.
Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Tech Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with event management tools and virtual platforms preferred (e.g., Cvent, Basecamp, Asana, Zoom, etc.).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform occasional strenuous activities. Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
