Get It Recruit - Hospitality is Hiring a Remote Regional Director of Hotel Sales Colorado Market - Remote | WFH

Are you an innovative, motivated, and self-driven sales professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry? We're seeking a high-performing Regional Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts for our hotels in the Colorado region.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Corporate Director of Sales and Revenue Manager to develop pricing strategies, execute group sales (10 rooms per night), and negotiate corporate business travel agreements. Your primary focus will be to generate revenue that meets or exceeds budget expectations through proactive and reactive sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quarterly sales strategies to generate new business and penetrate/saturate existing accounts.
  • Ensure booked business aligns with the hotels' goals, considering market conditions and needs dates.
  • Drive customer loyalty by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate features and services.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Network within the local community to create lasting and beneficial relationships with business leaders, chamber of commerce, CVB, and city offices.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals through a mix of proactive sales calls, maintenance calls, email prospecting, cold calls, and teleprospecting.
  • Conduct off-property visits to account decision-makers.
  • Record sales efforts in the CRM database (Event Temple), manage sales funnel opportunities, set follow-up systems, and track quarterly account action plans.
  • Maintain a dynamic and current target account list (Flatlist) across all segments, including groups, corporate business travel, wholesale/FIT, tours, and meeting space.
  • Plan and execute effective sales blitzes and/or customer events.
  • Follow up on opportunities uncovered by business development efforts.
  • Understand competitors' strengths, weaknesses, rate structures, sales team deployment, corporate and group base, room inventory, renovation standards, and how to sell against them.
  • Generate proposals, formulate rate agreements/group contracts, and corporate business travel agreements. Respond to RFPs within 24 hours if possible.
  • Upsell meeting space, food, and beverage for groups with the need.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files for groups, meetings, and negotiated accounts.
  • Collect and input rooming lists, provide front desk with group resumes.
  • Input group pick-up weekly and alert groups to pick-up status and upcoming cut-off dates.
  • Present sales, revenue, and forecasting reports to the management team.
  • Participate in weekly revenue calls and implement resulting sales strategies.
  • Participate in weekly calls with the Corporate Director of Sales for training, support, and new lead generation.
  • Review guest ledgers to identify potential negotiated rate opportunities.
  • Schedule the use of meeting space and upsell audio/visual and catering items.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to maintain meeting rooms, catering functions, set-up, and tear-down.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with the operations team(s) and General Manager to communicate billing instructions, rate breakdowns, commission reports, room blocking information, group special requests, upcoming groups, meeting room bookings, and coordinate efforts for corporate business accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within accounts.
  • Responsible for negotiation, contracting groups, meeting room bookings, and corporate travel accounts.
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum of 25% travel to hotel(s), visiting each remote property at least twice per quarter (preference for once per month).
  • Minimum of 4 years of hotel sales experience, including multiple property sales experience.
Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or relevant experience.
  • Ability to navigate through PMS and reservation systems.
  • Familiarity with CRMs and hotel sales systems, specifically Marriott & Hilton.
