Your RoleAs part of our team, you will lead a skilled group of database administrators and engineers, responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of our database systems. Your leadership will be crucial in managing intricate projects, ensuring data integrity, and fostering innovation within our data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse team of database professionals, supporting daily operations and project completion while promoting high performance and collaboration with various business units.
  • Oversee multiple projects from design to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet established standards, while managing resources and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Develop and maintain resilient data storage and retrieval systems, troubleshoot issues, implement recovery procedures, and uphold data security through robust protocols.
  • Identify areas for process and system improvements, implementing tools and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation regarding processes and system configurations, assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced in managing database teams and projects with strong leadership qualities and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, Redis, Kafka, and ActiveMQ, with experience in web-based, service-oriented applications.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and possesses a history of adapting to changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Technologically inclined with an innovative mindset, capable of introducing new ideas and challenging the status quo.
Qualifications
  • Basic Requirements: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: 6 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years with an advanced degree, along with 3 years managing database teams and projects.
Work EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and office work, with an expectation of being in the office 2-3 days a week.
