DescriptionIn this role, you will be instrumental in leading and managing the Youth Exchange Program’s virtual initiatives, particularly focusing on The Experiment Digital LATAM. Your responsibilities will include overseeing curriculum development, monitoring facilitators, managing an international team of contractors, and designing engaging alumni programming such as workshops and reunions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Grants Management
    • Ensure adherence to grant guidelines and deliverables, collaborating with key partners.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports for funders, donors, and program partners.
    • Develop and execute business strategies for virtual exchange, in collaboration with senior team members.
    • Assist in designing and developing grant proposals for new funding opportunities.
  • People Management and Supervision
    • Collaborate with a diverse team, including international contractors and facilitators.
    • Hire, train, and supervise contractors to support The Experiment Digital.
    • Manage digital facilitators and oversee their recruitment, school coordination, and technology troubleshooting.
    • Implement online training for facilitators in partnership with the program team.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight
    • Work with the Finance Officer to manage contracts, payments, and vendor relations.
    • Oversee the program budget, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
    • Manage budgetary challenges creatively and effectively with senior team support.
  • Program Design and Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of programs focusing on climate change, environmental issues, and English-Spanish language learning.
    • Support U.S. participant recruitment and outreach efforts.
    • Collaborate on social media strategies and manage outreach contacts across LATAM.
    • Engage directly with students in LATAM and the U.S. to foster high levels of interaction and engagement.
    • Provide on-call support and risk management during program implementation, including occasional nighttime and weekend shifts.
    • Design and manage alumni programming, including workshops and reunions.
    • Oversee data collection and analysis for program monitoring and evaluation.
    • Contribute to the creation of innovative digital programs for future years.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • At least three years of experience managing international exchange or online learning programs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, due to the nature of the program.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms, social networks, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Adaptability in managing ambiguity and unstructured environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant international travel or work experience in the LATAM region.
  • Experience in youth leadership development.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
