ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance software systems interfacing with complex datasets from DeFi protocols and blockchain networks, prioritizing scalability, efficiency, and reliability. Architect and refine data models and structures to support evolving needs in DeFi analytics, simulations, methodologies, and research development. Engage in the full software development lifecycle, focusing on data-centric applications from design through deployment. Implement advanced software engineering practices to ensure code quality, system security, and optimal performance in data-intensive environments. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable improvements and platform features. Stay updated with emerging technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in DeFi data analysis and machine learning engineering. Lead the documentation and sharing of technical knowledge within the team and broader DeFi community. QualificationsMinimum 4 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on data-intensive applications. Proficiency in Python, Rust, and SQL, coupled with a solid understanding of software engineering principles. Experience with OLAP databases (e.g., BigQuery), data transformation tools (e.g., DBT), workflow orchestration (e.g., Dagster), and distributed data processing technologies (e.g., Spark). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment. Passion for DeFi and the broader crypto ecosystem, with a proactive approach to continuous learning. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Bonus Points Prior experience in the crypto industry. Enthusiasm for DeFi and its impact on financial innovation. Background in smart contract development (e.g., Solidity) or contributions to DeFi through research or open-source projects. Experience in building scalable data platforms.
