In this role, you'll work on innovative credit-based financial software products across multiple platforms, contributing to a variety of exciting projects for both new and existing products. What You'll DoDefine development standards and technology roadmaps. Explore and evaluate new technologies and trends. Assess and prioritize product feature requests. Collaborate with architects and developers in a high-performance, results-driven environment. Review specifications, design technical solutions, and code & test projects throughout the software development lifecycle. Contribute to enhancing and maintaining our software applications. Add new functionality, fix bugs, and refactor existing code. Develop in a fast-paced, agile environment. Write clean, efficient code and document your changes. Prepare and deliver software deployments. Adhere to coding standards and provide support on a rotating schedule. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking ForStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and data structures. 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and unit testing API/web service integrations (SOAP/REST), preferably with automation tools. Extensive experience (5 years) with Agile methodologies and the Agile SDLC. 3 years of experience in architecting and implementing microservices and microservice frameworks. Proven expertise in building and designing APIs with a solid playbook of frameworks. Experience with API automation testing tools. Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server. 4 years of experience developing and consuming Web Services and using ORM technologies (such as Entity Framework). Proficiency with source code management tools (e.g., TFS). 6 years of experience in software engineering. Excellent critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to senior leadership. Hands-on experience in developing enterprise applications. Education & CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (MIS, CIS). Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Typical hours may range from 7 am to 6 pm, with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed. Hybrid work option is available if located within 75 miles of Houston, TX or Richmond, VA. Remote work is also an option with occasional travel if based in Texas (beyond 75 miles from the office), Virginia (beyond 75 miles from the office), Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, or Utah. Note: Employees must have specific written permission from their direct manager and approval from the Information Security Office to work outside these states or the US.
