Job DescriptionThe Area Sales Manager, reporting to the Regional Manager, plays a pivotal role in our Midwest operations. This position is the primary driver of sales-related activities for our Water & Power customers in the region. We're seeking a dynamic individual who can cultivate and maintain strong relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all sales-related activities for Water & Power opportunities in the Midwest.
Foster and maintain relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
Effectively manage local channel partners (Manufacturer's Representatives and Distributors) to optimize performance.
Monitor and pursue project sales, service, and aftermarket sales at existing customers.
Serve as the first responder to customer needs, while collaborating with our Factory Service Group.
Deliver comprehensive reporting through Rotork Customer Engagement (CRM) to ensure accurate record-keeping and data sharing.
Stay updated on our competitive position and actions of competitors.
Collaborate with the Manager and other Area Sales Managers to develop a sales plan aligned with company goals.
Provide regular business forecasts for all products and services.
Generate monthly sales reports with the regional sales manager to support accurate business forecasting.
QualificationsEssential
Proven experience in coordinating the sale of products and services on capital projects, as well as to resellers and end-users.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a channel partner network.
Engineering or similar technical degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable
Experience in selling engineered industrial automation products or process equipment.
Strong time management and planning skills.
High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance.
Knowledge of the water and wastewater market.
