Position OverviewWe're on the lookout for a motivated and results-oriented Groups Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have a proven sales track record, a passion for the travel industry, and exceptional communication skills, this role could be a perfect fit for you. You will play a key role in driving our growth, expanding our market presence, and strengthening our reputation as a top player in the travel sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy Development: Craft and implement a sales strategy that aligns with our goals, driving revenue and market expansion.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for strategic accounts.
New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert prospects into successful partnerships, boosting sales and market share.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to guide strategic decisions.
Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our offerings, showcasing their unique value through sales calls, presentations, and meetings.
Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate terms and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Sales Performance Metrics: Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, contributing to the company's overall growth.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to execute sales strategies effectively.
Event Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating events, including tradeshows and familiarization trips, with occasional travel (30% of the time).
Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular sales reports and insights to leadership, highlighting performance trends and areas for improvement.
Computer Skills: Utilize advanced skills in Salesforce, Tableau, PowerPoint, PLEX, Executer, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Professional Development: Keep up with industry best practices, attend conferences, and participate in training to continuously improve your skills.
Social Media: Engage creatively on social media to connect with existing and potential clients and partners.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years of successful business development experience, preferably in the travel industry.
Strong network within the travel sector.
Experience in selling to groups, such as destination weddings, corporate incentives, and social events.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and market exploration.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make informed decisions.
Familiarity with popular travel destinations and travel regulations.
Terms Of EmploymentHours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Annual salary plus bonus, based on experience
