The Opportunity
Position: Business Insurance Agent - Mid-Level (Remote, Work from Home)
Department: Commercial Lines
Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Training ScheduleMonday - Friday, 13-15 weeks
8:00am-4:30pm CST (9:00am-5:30pm EST)
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm CST (9:30am-6:00pm EST)
In this role, you will advise business owners on insurance and risk management in an inbound sales environment. You'll use a comprehensive suite of Commercial Insurance Products to address each client's unique risk profile.
What You'll Do
Serve as a consultative partner for members, non-members, and insurance carriers, using your technical knowledge to meet customer needs.
Ensure compliance and insurance standards, documenting appropriately to limit agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure.
Classify businesses accurately and provide tailored risk management solutions, leveraging your understanding of B2B sales cycles.
Conduct account reviews, provide consultative advice, and mitigate risks using your knowledge of the industry and regulatory environment.
Utilize Agency Management Systems, CRM, and multiple carrier platforms to select suitable products and carrier offerings.
Partner and negotiate with underwriters on endorsements, renewals, and remarkets.
Calculate Insurance to Value (ITV) accurately for various property types and provide detailed replacement values.
Provide account services, including policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and more.
Facilitate initial acquisition of affluent members and business owners, providing concierge-level service.
Work with underwriters on complex accounts and ensure risks are identified and controlled in line with policies.
What You Have
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of insurance sales and service experience, including 1 year in a high-value insurance agency, commercial insurance agency, or broker setting
Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for your home state (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
High Net Worth/Private Client experience and ability to handle sensitive information
Excellent communication and customer service skills
What Sets You Apart
4 years of Commercial Lines Insurance account management experience, including new business writing
Experience with Agency Management Systems and/or Salesforce
Experience in a multiple carrier environment
Active P&C General Lines License for your home state

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and market data, ranging from $51,840.00 to $92,880.00. Potential for pay incentives based on performance.
